The Campsite caters for 24 campers and is ideal for:

  • Guide camps/overnights
  • Senior Section camps/overnights
  • Leader camps/overnights
  • Scouts, Cadets and youth groups
  • DofE expedition base
  • Unit/District/Division or Family events
  • A base for watching nature & walking
  • And lots more besides

The site comprises:

A large hut

  • A small kitchen area (with electric cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, cutlery, crockery and pots/pans)
  • A sitting/meeting area with tables & chairs
  • Electric meter taking £1 coins (costing between £3-£5 per day dependent on electric consumption)
  • Large water boiler & room heaters
  • Selection of craft support material e.g. containers, water pots, paint brushes, paper plates and paper bags
  • Leaders Box comprising of string, balloon pump, glue, sellotape, biros, erasers, markers and glass/porcelain pens.

Please note: the hut is not wheelchair accessible

Toilet Hut

  • An 8 compartment hut with electric light
  • 1 secured cubicle containing toilet cleaning materials, toilet roll & chemical toilet fluid (for use by day/evening users only – campers to bring own supplies)
  • 3 wash cubicles including wash bowls and buckets
  • 4 toilet cubicles with chemical toilets

  • A designated cooking area with altar fire
  • A designated campfire area
  • 4 picnic benches

  • Campsite badges are available to purchase (£1.20 each) – check with the person who signs you in/out​
